In case I forgot to mention it, this Boise Evangelical Examiner page is meant as more of a community forum than anything else. Sure, I do all of the writing, but the idea is that together we can spread information about the many, many ways to help expand God's kingdom on this earth.
A plethora of churches and organizations in the Treasure Valley are devoting lots of time and energy to creative, God-centered programs. From stemming drug use to RESPECTFULLY telling people in downtown Boise about our Savior, there is no shortage of opportunities for the ambitious, excited, devoted local Christian to seize.
The problem is, many of these efforts are virtually unknown outside the churches or groups they originated in. Think of the effect they could have on our communities if we would simply share them with Christians outside our small mini-worlds.
Now think of how could we could impact the people around us if we were to pick up the slack when our brothers and sisters in Christ need help with their programs, activities, events, etc.
Some of us are making the most of the time allotted to us, and that is really awesome. But, for the most part, we can all do a little better. We must band together and do all that is within our power to show the world — more specifically, the Treasure Valley — how Christians have been commanded to act.
Let's pour our energy into the multifaceted, ultra-useful love God has designed us for.
