These are the kind of commercials you don't skip -- parodies. The products, of course, don't exist--but if they did, the commercials certainly make you want them. In this post i've included my faves, what are yours?
Kissable
Sorry it's in French, but no translations are necessary here. Eddie Murphy plays an advertising executive working on a campaign for a new lipstick called Kissable. He allows his sex-crazed assistant to produce the commercial, and it pretty much turns out as PG porn. The model featured in the parody commercial engages in VERY sexually suggestive acts--deep throating a lipstick, banana--tonguing cherries, etc. She puts everything down her mouth but a penis.
George Michael Auto Security System
E!'s "Talk Soup" created this hysterical commercial that poked fun at George Michael's falling-asleep-at-the-wheel antics that occurred during his headline-making drug and alcohol fueled nights out.
Homocil
"Saturday Night Live" parodied drug commercials with Homocil - medication that helps parents cope with their gay children.
Mom Jeans
Another "SNL" classic about unflattering jeans.
Wrap it up box
This has to be one of "Chappelle Show's" most memorable skit: A perfect device to end boring or awkward moments
Crystal Waters music video
This one isn't a commercial, but it's a great parody of Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman" from "In Living Color"-- and it happens to be the best parody I've seen. It's very true that many of Crystal Waters' songs have craptastic lyrics that serve as filler for an awesome catchy chorus (see "100% Pure Love")
Soul Glo
Eddie Murphy's "Coming to America" has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. It's comedy gold! Soul Glo is a gheri curl product included in the movie, and Murphy's character vies for the same love interest of the heir to the Soul Glo company.
Covergirl cosmetics
The product isn't fake, but the commercial is! "America's Next Top Model" alum Jade has to improvise a commercial for Covergirl cosmetics, and it results in what's best described as a drag show.
