The entryway is one of the most important places in the home. It is the last thing we see when we
leave the house, and the first thing we see when we come home. Here are a few tips to make sure the energy is flowing well in your foyer.

- Set up a space to transition. Have a key spot, a purse spot, and a coat spot. It does not need to be perfect, but it gives you and opportunity to stop and adjust before going out in the world or when coming home. If you have the space, keep a chair near the door to make taking off shoes more accessible.
- Keep it as orderly as possible. I often see people place things they are meaning to do by the door, only to step around them for a few weeks until they can get the time to actually do the chore. Keep these items out of the main walkway, as they just get in the way and slow energy down.
- Clean or repaint your door. By having a nice looking door, it is welcoming to you and the opportunities that are around the corner.
- Keep the area well lit, both for safety and for ease.
- Decorate! What you see when you first come home has a lasting impression on your experience of the space. Pick art and décor that is soothing and welcoming, such as nature scenes, happy family images, and images you like.
