The big news for musical theatre in Salt Lake is the musical “Wicked,” which is currently playing until May 3 at Capital Theatre. Salt Lake theatre fans have embraced this musical, and are proving it to be quite “popular.” All tickets for the remaining performances are sold out. In fact, the tickets released for the general public, in December, sold out in mere hours. However, if you do not have your tickets, you may be in luck.

Arttix is offering a ticket lottery where lucky lottery winners will be able to purchase two tickets at twenty-five dollars each. This lottery is held two hours prior to each of the remaining performances. In the lottery ten pairs of tickets will be made available for lucky winners to purchase; those winners will be announced ninety minutes prior to each show. Also, note that the lottery is cash only, and that valid identification will be required of any ticket purchase winner. Don your ruby red slippers or your wicked witch hat, and best of luck to you!
