Glassdoor provides a complete, real-time, inside look at what it's really like to work at a company — ratings, reviews, confidence in senior leadership, and salaries — for free.

Glassdoor’s current features and benefits include:

1. Detailed company reviews. See what employees on the inside really think with reviews that hit on the good, the bad and a lot more in between. Glassdoor encourages constructive feedback in company reviews and ask respondents to provide “pros” and “cons,” along with “advice to senior management.”

2. Employee ratings on workplace factors and leadership. Glassdoor asks users to rate a range of workplace factors (work-life balance, career opportunities, communication, compensation and benefits, morale, recognition and feedback, senior leadership, fairness and respect). In addition, they also collect and calculate a real-time CEO approval percentage to provide a pulse of how employees think the CEO is doing at any given time.

3. Real-time salary/compensation details by title and company. You can see details on salary, bonuses, commissions and more for titles within companies. With information posted everyday, users can be sure they're seeing the latest.

4. It's all FREE. Normally Glassdoor requires all users to post a review or salary of their own before getting access to the reviews or salaries of the community. However, they now offer students full access, without having to post! Any student or career services professional can simply e-mail students [at] glassdoor [dot] com from their .edu address to receive a free student account.
