Resource tolbox: JobRadio.fm
JobRadio.fm was founded by Chris Russell and Peter Clayton. Each is a veteran podcaster who has been publishing career advice content and interviews since 2005 when podcasting first got started. Combined, their podcasts have been downloaded more than one million times.
JobRadio.fm was born from these popular podcasts. The Internet offers a variety of places to see and hear career advice. But, they felt something was missing. This Internet radio station’s goal is to be
the place to hear the best and brightest discuss career related topics.
JobRadio.fm is the only Internet radio station of its kind – dedicated to career advice.
Current content includes interviews with career coaches, industry executives, employer jobcasts and job search news updates. Shows repeat approximately every 12 hours, and new shows are added weekly to keep it fresh. Shows include podcasts from Total Picture Radio, Secrets of the Job Hunt, Jobs in Pods, The Working Podcast and The Savvy Jobseeker. Original content will also be added over time.
According to Russell, future plans include an iPhone application for listening on the go.
The best part? It costs absolutely nothing to tap into all of this great career advice. Listeners can tune in via the convenient audio player on the site or use a media player such as WinAmp or iTunes.
