Can you feel the love tonight? Center Tix and the Anchorage Concert Association can. Tickets for the national tour of Disney's "The Lion King" go on sale tomorrow morning, May 2. The innovative musical, written by Elton John and Tim Rice, opens its extended run in Anchorage on September 2 and closes October 11.
Tickets go on sale at the Center Tix box office at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts tomorrow morning at 7 a.m., and it looks like it's going to be quite the event. Breakfast, beverages and prizes will be provided by Clear Channel Radio and AT&T Alaska, and the first 100 people to buy their tickets in person will receive a complimentary "Lion King" CD, and everyone else will walk away with a "Lion King" ski cap.
If you can't make it in person (or you're not into waiting on line or getting up early), you can, of course, buy tickets over the phone at (907) 263-ARTS, or online at CenterTix.net; be advised, however, that online and phone sales don't begin until 10 a.m. Saturday.
