I once heard that there are two types of beautiful women, the ones who never leave the house without lipstick, and the ones who never leave the house without mascara. I am definitely in the mascara category. I would never dream of walking through the door without it on and i am kind of a snob about it.
Mascara is the one make-up item i splurge on. It's the one item that i will try a billion different ones just so that one day i can say that i have found the perfect mascara. Since i have become such an authority on Eco-Fashion and Style, it seems only natural that my beauty products follow suit. And so begins my trials and tribulations with organic/natural mascara.

1. Suki Color rich pigment mascara: $33.95 available online. This mascara comes in two color options black and copper brown (which is nice for women with blond hair). this product goes on well, covers great and smells really good. It tends to come off and rub off easily though. Doesn't contain any water so it doesn't require any of the harsh preservatives needed to keep germs at bay.

2. Josie Maran: $22 available online and at Sephora retailers. This product is only available in black, but is supremely chic. This mascara won allure magazine's editor's choice award this year. Contains NO parabens or other harsh chemical preservatives. Josie Maran has been named the new it girl for eco/natural make-up so keep a mascara-ed eye on this one. I am currently testing this one out and I am really happy with the coverage and the texture. Definitely no clumps here!
More testing will yeild more results, so stay tuned for more from the Natural Beauty series of posts.
