After looking high and low for the most reliable place for stylish clothes that also have an ethical heart, I have settled on eco citizen as the best option in San Francisco. Joslyn takes her time selecting all the most sustainable trends in the market and brings them artfully into one beautiful and sleek spot making it easy, even for the fashion challenged to leave with something perfect for every occasion.

The shop is small, uncluttered, and clean. The staff is always super friendly, helpful, and never pushy. If you ask about why a particular item is eco-friendly, they have a well educated answer that is never insincere. There is plenty of stock of the items in the store so I never have a hard time finding the right size.

And as I mentioned before they have everything you need for any occasion. I scored an adorable silk dress by Edun that can go to a cocktail party or after dinner drinks easy. They also carry Del Forte denim, Turk + Taylor tees, and the most beautiful sweaters. Multiple use items are also another great way to think of eco-fashion.

Located at Polk St on Vallejo, this little shop is a little off the main drag of Russian Hill, but is well worth the extra seeking. They are open 11-7 Monday through Saturday, and 12-6 on Sunday.
