Alaska's oil and gas revenues soar, as the State of California verges on bankruptcy.  California's Republican Governor Arnold Schwarenegger and his legislative minority stand in firm opposition to any oil and gas severance tax whatsoever in the State of California.  And, California guberntorial candidate Gavin Newsom remains silent, not only on offshore oil and natural gas drilling, but also on a state oil and gas severance tax:

The State of Alaska's revenues from its 25% oil and natural gas severance tax.

Republican Governor Sarah Palin and Alaska's Republicans make California Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and California Republicans look like chumps, knuckleheads, and/or, pathetic lapdogs of the oil and natural gas industry, a.k.a., Big Oil.

And, why hasn't San Francisco's California guberrnatorial candidate, Eco Sheikh Gavin Newsom, spoken out on California's proposed oil and natural gas severance tax, with emphasis on higher ed to build renewables, especially since it's part of his own State Democratic Party's platform????

Have Schwarzenegger, Newsom, and the California Republican Party really moved to the non-renewable right of Drill-Baby-Drill Palin and Alaska's fossil fueled Republicans, famous for their determination to unleash drillers in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

Mayor Newsom: phone home!!!
