Marc Dacascos: Dancing with the Stars martial arts champion

Marc Dacascos, Dancing with the Stars season nine contestant and Chairman of the Food Network’s Iron Chef, was born in Hawaii of Chinese, Filipino, Irish, Spanish and Japanese descent. He hails from a martial arts family, with parents Moriko McVey and Al Dacascos instructing him in the art of Wun Hop Quen Do (Kung Fu) since he was four years old. His martial arts repertoire also includes the styles of Chinese Wushu, Capoeira, Muay Thai and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu.
