November 12 -- With only two days to go until her big golf course wedding to Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz, Deal or No Deal model Lindsay Clubine is involved in the details that occupy every bride-to-be: Partying, working out, and tweeting her buns off.
“I am partying with my girls!!” Clubine wrote Thursday on her Lindzy45 Twitter feed. “I am only single for 2 more days!!”
Buns of steel. Not only that, but Deal or No Deal’s briefcase model #26 is leaving none of the critical issues to chance; she wants to be as hot in her wedding getup as she is in her bikini.
“I just finished my bar method class. It is a full body work out. I feel great!” Clubine tweeted earlier this month. “My goal is to have buns of steel! the wedding is a week away!”
Those are a whole lotta exclamation points, and why not? Clubine and Buchholz will tie the knot Saturday before 120 family members and friends, including current and former teammates Jacoby Ellsbury, Jed Lowrie, Michael Bowden, Casey Kotchman, Brad Penny, and Justin Masterson, according to the Boston Globe.
The setting couldn’t be more fitting for a model and professional athlete: Donald Trump’s paean to himself, Trump National Golf Club in La La Land. After all, The Donald sort of introduced the happy couple -- if you consider tossing red meat to hungry wolves an introduction.
“There were a bunch of players there, and [Trump] walked me over and said, ‘Hey guys, this is Lindsay and she’s single,’” Clubine told the Globe.
The rest, as they say, is pop history.
After burners. As it turns out, Clubine and Buchholz actually play golf and look forward to hitting the links with some new clubs.
“For all you golf fans,” Clubine tweeted in October, “Clay and I are getting a tour of Taylormade. It’s pretty cool. They are getting us fitted and hooked up w new clubs.”
Model and athlete. So what floats the boat of the future Mrs. Clay Buchholz? Lindsay is a 26-year-old blonde from a small Missouri town, according to Clubine’s official Web site. The oldest of three girls, Clubine fancies herself a fashionista as well as a “tomboy.” (Ouch. It's time that oh-so-yesterday term for athletic women went the way of steel spikes on Boston golf courses.)
“Growing up, I spent most of my time playing competitive softball,” Clubine says. Indeed, Lindsay toed the rubber as a pitcher, just as her future hubby does now.
Not camera-shy. Really, though, Clubine is all about the Nikon. “Model turned television host,” Lindsay “has graced the pages of several top magazines” and features regularly in men’s publications “as one of the sexiest television personalities on TV today,” according to her online bio.
Clubine can also boast about her gig as the host of Get Out! a top-rated “extreme sports travel show” on HDNet, a high-definition Internet channel.
No deal. With such a high-profile wedding in the works, Clubine might want to weigh carefully the marriage advice coming her way from folks like...Deal or No Deal host Howie Mandel?
“He said to Clay, ‘Stay healthy -- and stay on the road!’” an August 2009 blog quoted Clubine as saying. So that’s “Howie” does it.

Talk about high-profile. Read about Tiger Woods’ rock star status in Australia as he fired a 6-under 66 to grab a share of the lead in the Australian Masters.
Clay Buchholz has some highlights of his own. It may be football season, but catch Red Sox fever as the drama builds toward the final pitch of Buchholz’s 2007 no-hitter. And, of course, don’t forget to sing along with "Dirty Water" as the Sox and fans go crazy (ah, it seems so long ago):
