The name of an American Psychological Association’s study published this year is a mouthful -- “Investigating the Effects of Marriage and Relationship Education on Couples’ Communication Skills: A Meta-Analytic Study”. But what the research uncovered? Boils down to this: a couple’s relationship can hugely improve with marriage education classes.
According to an article Hitched Magazine, researchers combed through more than 100 published and unpublished studies dating back to 1975. It was then they discovered that marriage education courses helped couples form and sustain healthy, stable marriages. The study also found that while those one-day classes are great, the weekly classes for an hour or so over the course of several weeks work best.
There are plenty of local workshops with the St.Louis area. I’ll keep on posting them.
