The first step to online dating is to select a site. There are many sites to choose from. Some are general online dating sites meaning that the site has members of all ages, ethnicities, religions, interests etc. Other sites focus on a particular ethnicity, religion, age group, sexual orientation or hobby.
Most sites require you to search through their database of profiles and pictures to select people to contact or to respond to. Most sites have some form of matching but a few really bridge the gap between online dating sites and a matchmaker where they handle all introductions based on various compatibility computer programs.
