Palm Pixi could be released in October on Sprint

With the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Apple Mac’s finally coming out years after it should have, and a new rumor about Palm’s new smartphone, today has certainly been a pretty good Friday hasn’t it?

Great start to the weekend.

Anyways, there is news from the Boy Genius Report that Palm’s new phone, the Pixi, which was officially confirmed less than a month ago, might be coming out this month.

Yes, you read that correctly, this month, meaning October.

The date?

October 20th, two days before the release of that Windows 7 tablet from Archos.

They are saying that on the 20th, the Pixi will be hitting both Sprint and Best Buy stores. This of course, is merely a rumor so take it like that. However, remember, there had been rumors as early as August that signaled an October release for this phone and that was before it had even officially been announced.

Another thing that hasn’t been confirmed is whether or not this phone will be a catch with the public.

Only time will tell.
