My gardening abilities are limited as is my time but on rare occasions, like now, my interested is piqued. Gayla Trail is the personality behind "You Grow Girl" and has an energetic approach to simplicity in gardening.
Her website is easy to navigate and archives include a plethora of helpful articles, interesting recipes and realistic tips. Too often I have happened upon information that is just not practical. I don't want to set up railroad ties, haul in dirt and be exhausted before I get one plant in the dirt.
Gayla offers an easy-to-read style describing real life experiences. She posts photos of her projects making the website bright and colorful.   A sidebar breaks out topics making searches easier.
When my kids were growing up, I would look for things to do that helped them appreciate the earth around us. Projects on this site would be a great way to start a family window garden or show creative uses for rejuvenating old containers in an eco-friendly gesture.

Often gardening sites and magazines give me the feeling I am an outsider peering between the slats of a picket fence into a design that I can only dream about. Gayla opens the gate, inviting visitors in with a warm welcome. After a comfy visit, she sends you off with a seed of thought that you can confidently grow and nurture. My grandmother always said, "Don't say thank you for a plant, it's bad luck." I won't risk hexing Gayla's site but I will encourage others to stroll by her garden!
