Free online publicity is extremely easy to get if you’re willing to invest the time in making yourself and your brand, book or business visible in cyberspace.
Free publicity can flow from time spent on social media networking, blogging, guest blogging, article marketing, content marketing, videos, etc.
And then there are numerous dedicated PR sources.
Here are two that I use for my company MillerMosaicLLC.com:
PitchRate.com is an online service to match journalists, experts and publicists. You can join the site for free and then make pitches when you think you’re right for a source needed by a journalist.
One of the advantages to PitchRate.com is that there’s actually a rating system in order to evaluate the experts. And PitchRate.com also offers tools for publicists to track their clients’ efforts.
Full disclosure: After I started pitching on PitchRate.com, site founder Drew Gerber interviewed my business partner Yael K. Miller and me on internet marketing. You can listen to the recorded interview at http://cli.gs/BYP3pS and access the PitchRate special offer.
Another site that I’ve used is eCorpTV.com, where Yael uploaded one of our company videos. This site has a Unique Selling Proposition of being a free video service dedicated to business videos.
One of this site’s advantages is that every video is reviewed before going live. So an inappropriate video uploaded to the site will not be seen.
And in terms of being listed in online directories, I’ve recently joined Brownbook.net, a free global business directory.
For free publicity for your brand, book or business, check out PitchRate.com, eCorpTV.com and Brownbook.net now.
P.S. George Kao contacted me and asked me to share with my Examiner readers a link for his August 4th free webinar that explains why and how to use webinars for marketing. As you can listen to this webinar for free, I’m providing the link here – webinarmethod.com. (Yes, this is free online publicity for George's webinar.)
