Mission: Find a source of fresh content for the new website www.DelxueKosherTours.com for client Stuart Katz as he doesn’t have time to blog.

Research site: Twitter – searching on the word “kosher”

Potential source identified:
@atyourpalate – Chef Shaya on Twitter who does healthy kosher gourmet cooking. Clicked through to his blog www.atyourpalate.com and his Facebook page is given. Clicked through to that page and sent him a message with my email address.

Response: Email from Chef Shaya that he’s interested in talking. I call him. In 30 minutes we’ve worked out how he can help supply fresh content for www.DeluxeKosherTours.com and in exchange get wider exposure for his business of healthy kosher gourmet cooking. Thanks to www.DeluxeKosherTours.com being a WordPress website, I instantly add a page about Chef Shaya.

Meanwhile:
While emailing him a follow-up memo I get a phone call from my friend Anita Zelman, author of the delightful travel book TRAVEL HERE AND THERE. I’ve asked Anita to allow the site to use material from her book in exchange for a link to her book’s page on Amazon. Of course Anita says yes, so now there’s more content for www.DeluxeKosherTours.com.

Next steps: Look for other cross-promotional partners, of which I already have contacted one.

Conclusion: Utilizing the Internet to look for cross-promotional partners is an amazingly efficient method for win-win situations.
