Summer is the season for weddings and you probably already RSVPed to more than one nuptial event this year. Finding appropriate wedding attire can be tricky but these hopefully these tips can help you navigate the endless racks of dresses you’ll be flipping through.

Ambiance, one of San Francisco’s most popular boutiques, has a plethora of dresses so check out one of their three locations (Haight, Noe Valley and Marina). Besides its wide selection of clothes, shoes and accessories, Ambiance has ongoing markdowns and sales, making it a perfect store for any girl on a budget. Sign up to be in the Ambiance Insiders Club and get exclusive deals and specials emailed directly to you.

When it comes to dressing for a wedding, always base you’re outfit on the type of wedding. Will it be held at a country club or at a hotel in Vegas? Is there a specific theme or is it a Black Tie event? All these factors will help you decide what to wear. For example, wear a maxi dress and strappy sandals to a beach side wedding or a neutral colored shift with wedges to a City Hall ceremony.

Some weddings require formal wear only so don’t neglect the no-fail look of a classic black and white dress. Consider shape, length, color and pattern when looking for a your outfit. You want something that is fun and perfect so you’ll want to wear it for other events.

Weddings are like proms for grown-ups so finding the perfect dress is key. The bottom line to looking great while doing the funky chicken and clinking champagne flutes is to wear a dress that makes you feel just as special as the bride.
