The Sak and Elliot Lucca warehouse sale in San Francisco is one of my favorite shopping experiences every year. The sale is usually held twice a year and it takes place in a warehouse on Harrison between 17th and Mariposa Street. I went on Friday and scored the greatest top zip purse by Elliot Lucca for only $3!
I couldn't’t find this particular Elliot Lucca creation anywhere online but Elliot Lucca bags can go for as much as $400! Dreams do come true at The Sak warehouse sale and that’s why there are always hordes of women acting like rabid purse-snatchers at this event every year.
Let me add that this awesome bag was first spotted by my sister, Crissie, who handed it to me because she knows that my style embraces the outrageous. This Elliot Lucca purse is so unique and I absolutely love its Southwest and Native American flair. The design is out of this world with wood, faux coral, and shell beading and the bright orange accents look great against the creamy white leather. I’m all about native inspired pieces, especially when it comes in neon hues, and this purse is definitely in line with one of this year’s spring trends.
I won’t go into detail about the sale itself because it’s something all of you should attend but I will share my advice on how to shop at this particular super sale event. First of all, you should hold on to every item that interests you because once you place a bag down its fair game for the rest of the purse-crazed pack. Secondly, look thoroughly through all piles and mounds not once but at least three times. This may seem a bit extreme but if you are hungry for some deals you need to put in the work. Next, keep an eye out for the new batches of bags being released onto the floor. Although, you won’t miss when this happens because a mob of shoppers rushes the stock person emptying a box of new items.
Finally, always look for slight blemishes on your purses, bags and hobos. This is why I was able to score my Elliot Lucca purse for a price tag that’s almost laughable. There was slight discoloration on the back side of the bag so I brought it the attention of the floor manager and after a second of deliberation she told me I could have it for the $3, which the set price for any damaged item.
I'm not sure when The Sak will be holding their next warehouse sale but check out their page on Facebook for updates.
