Hats will be seen everywhere from now up to the end of San Francisco’s Indian summer. Headwear can be found at department stores and neighborhood boutiques and price tags can be hefty. I’m not a fiend for beanies and hats but I usually have a small collection of headwear for utilitarian purposes.
I found this black and white Gingham hat by Manhattan Hat Company at Ross for only $6.99. The hat is a great way to incorporate Gingham – one of the trendiest fabrics this year. I love Gingham prints for its simplistic feel plus the revamped colors that are seen on racks these days are utterly delicious.
If you like Gingham or other bold fabrics but are too shy to wear it as a top like the Parkside Button Up Blouse offered on Lulu’s then go for a smaller piece like a hat or scarf. Purchasing accessories rather than more expensive items is a smart way to remain current while not throwing money away at ever-changing trends.
Up next: I’ll show you where to find sandals that cover up your feet but keep you looking cool (thanks Gigi for the question).
