Outsourcing, nearshoring, and offshoring to Guatemala means you are serious about investing in the growth of your business. Smart, efficient and forward-thinking outsourcing/nearshoring/offshoring programs will translate into better services for your company products/services, your employees, your investors/shareholders, and your customers.

CADIS is a Guatemala-based company which is an outsource provider of CAD and Graphic Design services both locally and internationally. The founders have positioned CADIS as an affordable nearshore/offshore partner for design solutions in today´s rapid pace and cost efficient markets.  Some of their services include: graphic design for sales materials, web design and hosting, CAD design services for architectural projects, and more.  Mario Espana, Managing Director of CADIS, who came to Guatemala after success in the outsourcing market of Nicaragua, offers five reasons why U.S. businesses should seriously consider Guatemala as their nearshore/offshore location.

Cost efficiency. Staying competitive means knowing how to keep costs down but keep efficiency high. Outsourcing to Guatemala because of an eager, motivated workforce and lower costs of services, labor, and materials.

Job creation. It sounds contradictory, but it’s true. By cutting down costs through strategic outsourced operations – companies can focus on their core competency and strengthen their innovative growth initiatives. This doesn’t mean there will be no layoffs – but companies can use their savings to grow in other directions.

Knowledge & ability to leverage. Guatemala has the largest population in Central America, of which more than 50% of the people are under the age of 25. There is a strong trajectory of outsourcing companies in different industries: from apparel to call centers to back office services. This local knowledge and experience provides a good platform for new outsourcing partnerships and supply chain continuity.

Qualified labor force, country investments in education: Guatemala also has the largest college student population in the region, and both government and private sector are investing in new industry oriented training facilities and programs. Proof of that is the new $10M IT training facility, which was established to house call center and BPO incubators, CAD and web design labs, and – in partnership with Studio C – a state of the art 3D animation studio. Wow!

Location and time zones: Having similar time zones with the US, and strong cultural affinity makes communication easier between US and local companies. Guatemala understands the U.S. business culture mindset and economic structure. Workers in Guatemala are trained to deliver accurately, meet deadlines, and stay focused on the work.

CADIS has signed several contracts and expects more sooner than later.  For more info on nearshoring/offshoring to Guatemala, please visit CADIS or contact Mario Espana directly @ mespana@cadisgt.com
