Here's the scoop for the first day of the Cold Water Classic in Santa Cruz, Monday November 2, 2009.

Schedule

From 8 AM to 9:20 AM round 1 of the locals trials is held. There will be 4 heats.

From 9:20 AM to 10AM the semi-finals of the local trials will be held in 2 heats.

From 10 AM to 10:25 AM a single heat will decide the final of the locals trials. Two finalists will be awarded wildcard entries to the contest based on the results of the locals trials.

From 10:25 AM until ?, the World Qualifying Series Pro Jr. round 1 will be held.

Conditions

Conditions are clean at the Lane for this first day. No wind, slightly textured ocean surface, high tide rising, and waves to head high. Look for some exciting action.
