It's here! Halloween is finally here! You know what that means, right? Party time!
Last year I went to the Spring4th Halloween party. I had a few friends that were low on funds, and we were all more than happy to hang out at Spring4th since it was B.Y.O.B.
The turnout was low, as most people were at the Secretroom party. However, Spring4th used to be a great after-party spot since you could continue to drink after the other events ended at 3am. So although we had decided to go to Spring4th, our other friends decided to join us after they left the Secretroom party. The late night boost in attendence help picked up the energy at Spring4th, and we had a great time.
But now that Spring4th is no longer B.Y.O.B., it only makes sense to attend the big Secretroom party held at 2 High Studios on Halloween night!
2 High Studios is the same location the party was held at last year. Since I did not attend last year, I cannot attest to the location. However, Secretroom parties never disappoint, so the party at 2 High should be no exception to the rule.
The huge warehouse will be fully decorated with spiders, bats, and other creepy crawlies. A 40-foot steel fire dragon sculpture by Ryan Mathern will be displayed outside in the courtyard. There are also two full bars to keep the "spirits" flowing.
A performance by local industrial band Voodoo Velkro will certainly electrify the night, along with the talents of DJs Threv, EvilZ, and Omac!
2 High Studios is located at 540 Permalume Place. The event will take place from 9pm until 3am, which is an hour earlier than usual event start times, so get there early and party longer! The cover for this event is $10 for 21 and up in costume, and $15 for no costume or 18 and up. Secure parking is $5, or you may park free across the street.
I will mention that 2 High Studios is an event center similar to Spring4th. However, the cover charges at the event at Spring4th are $15-20, with no free parking (unless you're really lucky!)
Also, while I love and support Horrible Children, producers of the alternative option event at Spring4th, I definitely think that the Secretroom party at 2 High Studios is the way to go!
Halloween comes only once a year, so dress in your best costume and head over to 2 High Studios on Saturday! Look for the pumpkins signs and light!
