4th Annual All-Purpose Halloween Party, Oct. 30 at Masq.

This year Halloween falls on a Saturday, which makes it the perfect party night.  But what about Friday night? 

All month long I waited to find out if anything would be going on the Friday before Halloween.  Thankfully, there is an awesome party planned for Friday night:  the 4th Annual All-Purpose Halloween Party!

The 4th Annual All-Purpose Halloween Party will take place at the Masquerade on Friday, October 30.

Each year, attendance at this event has reached over 1000 people, so the purchase of advanced tickets is encouraged!

The All-Purpose Halloween party began in 2006, when they had to shut the doors at the Abbey at 11pm due to an already full house.  In 2007 the party was hosted at the Masquerade which yielded another large turnout.  Last year the All-Purpose Halloween Party was a block party on 6th St. including Halo Lounge and Cypress, which hosted over 1,000 costumed guests, performers, DJs, and live musicians.

This year the production will have a "Tarantino" horror movie theme.  Think Hostel, Grindhouse, and Reservoir Dogs; realistic gore and other displays of sadism.

Right in theme with this event, the cover charge includes full access to the Masquerade's Chambers of Horror haunted house, which is inspired by films like Hostel and Saw.  How cool is it to pay admission to get into a Halloween party AND get to go through a haunted house?  I love it!  Check out this video to get a taste of what is in store.

In addition, the best DJs in Atlanta have been hand-picked to bring you the best in progressive house, 80s, lounge, world, and funk music!  DJs Mike Czech, George Lukin, Dr. Katz, and Chris Grass are all scheduled to spin their best.

This event also brings something new to the scene that I haven't seen yet:  live musicians jamming along to the DJs music!  Instrumentalists on guitar, saxophone, drums and percussion will add a live atmosphere to the music, creating a new level of performance.

Dancers, aerialists, and other performers will also be on hand to keep the entertainment going.  With so much going on, the night is going to fly by.  So get there early and enjoy every minute of it!

Cover is $10 and the party takes place at the Masquerade from 10pm-3am.  The purchase of advance tickets is recommended, and you can buy there here ($10 plus a $2 service fee).
