Turn this roll into a terrific party favor!

Here is a fun and inexpensive party favor that you can make for your next office party!  All you need are some empty toilet paper rolls and a few crafty items... most of which you have right there in the office!

Let's start with the basics and then we can get fancy.  What you need is the empty roll of toilet paper, something to put into the roll as the treat, some sort of paper to wrap up the roll, and something to tie off the ends of the roll.  Then all you need is a reason to give the party favors away!  I'll walk you through a few different ideas and then you can think of new ideas all on your own!

Note:  Make sure when you wrap the roll you leave at least 3 inches of wrap extending on both sides of the roll so you can tie off the ends.  This makes the party favor much more festive.

Office Birthday Party:  Fill the roll with small office supplies like a box of staples, little sticky note pads, colorful push pins, etc.  Wrap the roll with birthday party wrapping paper.  Tie the ends off with gift ribbon and curl the ribbon with your scissors just as you would when wrapping a gift!  Hand out the favors to everyone who attends the office party!  You could even attach a card that says "thank you for coming to the party" inside the card!

Christmas Office Party:  Fill the roll with wrapped candy or a small gift.  Wrap with colorful Christmas wrapping paper. Tie the ends with ribbon and curl the ribbon just like you would when you wrap a gift.  Hang the favors in the office Christmas tree and let each employee choose one at the Christmas office party!

Now that you have the basic idea on how to make your own party favors you can probably think of many other containers you can use.  Use a paper towel roll for a longer version of the toilet paper party favor.  Use an empty can with both sides cut out for a wider version.  You can even make your own rolls by curling up a piece of card stock and taping it closed.  What fun!
