The Jumpgate Evolution trailer was released today at E3, and looks to be suitably epic:

 Jumpgate Evolution is a sci-fi MMO, but unlike other sci-fi MMOs like EVE Online, Jumpgate Evolution is a space shooter. Kotaku has even described it as what "could be exactly what fans of Wing Commander, Privateer, and Decent could want in a massively multiplayer game."

Jumpgate Evolution's official site promotes these features of the game:

• Immense Online Battles: Enter a dynamic universe and fight alongside or against thousands of players in immense online battles.
• Elite Space Combat: Adrenaline-fuelled, action space combat set within an immense persistent universe.
• Player Advancement: Answer your calling as you advance your online career through endless content, ships and weaponry by unlocking new player ranks and pilot licenses.
• Massive Space Conflict: Use cunning military tactics as you and your squadron destroy enormous space stations and devastating capital ships.
• Compelling Universe: Traverse and explore a beautifully crafted and realized online world as you forge your destiny amongst the stars.
• Incredible PVP Combat: Enter a sprawling universe of epic player vs. player combat as you fight your way from space rookie to elite commander.
• Intuitive Space Action: Intuitive in-game flight and control systems allow players to immediately launch into space and engage in instant online combat.  
• Dynamic Economy: Explore the depths of the universe for rare and precious resources to sell for profit or build into your own powerful items of war.
