If you have a weekly TransPass for last week that was rendered useless by the SEPTA strike, you may be able to obtain an exchange or credit from SEPTA.
If your weekly TransPass for the week of Nov. 2-8 is unpunched - that is, if it was not used for a trip on Regional Rail - and you bought it at a SEPTA sales outlet, return the pass to the outlet where you purchased it for an exchange or credit. Or you can return it to any other SEPTA sales outlet that sells passes.
If you use a monthly TransPass and it is unpunched, you will be able to receive a $20 credit towards the purchase of your next month's pass by following the same procedure above.
If you obtain your pass through your employer or via a pre-tax program, you will have to mail your pass -- along with a signed note containing your contact information, including your address -- to:
SEPTA SIP Refunds
P.O. Box 58609
Philadelphia, PA 19102-8849
to obtain a refund of your purchase. Refunds will take about six weeks to process.
Weekly TransPass holders have until Dec. 31 to submit their requests. Comments, questions and disputes should be mailed to the above address.
TrailPass holders cannot obtain credits or refunds, as Regional Rail service continued to operate throughout the strike.
