I am a dog owner who incorporates my canine companion, Cardiff, into many life adventures, both near and far from home. Over the past four years of active excursions with Cardiff, I have come across some well-made and useful products that have greatly improved our travel experience.
Here is the first in a multi-part series showcasing products which Cardiff and I love!

VestHarness by Canine Friendly Products

This useful harness is designed to allow for a seatbelt to comfortably restrain a dog in a car seat for safer travel. Additonally, the Vestharness’ underside panel protects the dog’s chest and shoulders from trauma and prevents accumulation of environmental debris. It also is very useful for leash-walking, as the shoulder pads help to reduce pressure on to the cervical (neck) structures, such as the esophagus, trachea, and vertebra. The Vestharness is machine washable, very durable (Cardiff has frequently worn his for over 3 years and it still looks new), and is easy to take on or off.

I highly recommend this product for other dog owners seeking a versatile piece of canine equipment for safe and healthy travel.
