The canine community lost a special member when Naco recently departed this world.  Naco, a male Shiba Inu, lived a long, high quality life for many years.  Naco was fortunate to have led a sophisticated bicoastal existence in Los Angeles and New York City with his loving dad.  I had the pleasure of knowing Naco and his father on both a professional and personal basis.  What follows are the words of Naco’s dad, who best sums up Naco’s life.

Naco was a special being for me. Most people don’t know that when I was suffering from confusion in my own life, he was the grounding force that kept me returning home, something to care for and love. As I matured, I enjoyed a fun relationship with him. He was a funny dog, playful at times, neurotic at others, but wholly his own being. He didn’t try to please, he just made me laugh by being “naco”. My friends and family loved him, maybe because of the love I have for him, mostly because he was a sweet animal. He traveled across the country several times with me, often in my lap. He was a great traveling companion, incredibly loyal, and always, always made me feel special.

We will miss you Naco! Dr. PM
