Angelica Bridges currently hosts "Fantasy" inside Luxor

“Baywatch” beauty Angelica Bridges would be easy to hate if she weren’t so sweet. Described by some as a living, breathing Jessica Rabbit, the gorgeous redhead, who is back headlining Luxor’s hit adult revue “Fantasy” after a brief hiatus, has it all: looks, talent (she sings and dances!) and a metabolism that just won’t quit!

“I don’t do low fat or light,” Bridges told Examiner.com with a laugh. “The more decadent something is, the better. I’m an all-or-nothing type of girl.”

Despite having a figure men want and women dream of, Bridges shockingly admitted she’s an “absolute dessert and fast food” junkie, citing In-N-Out, Taco Bell and Sonic as some of her favorite dining establishments. In fact, guys looking for a way into Bridges’ heart needn’t look any further than a Sonic drive-thru.

“I’m from Missouri, and when I moved to L.A., there wasn’t a Sonic anywhere nearby,” Bridges said. “So when I moved here [for ‘Fantasy’], I was so excited to see a Sonic that I actually called my relatives. I just love their fresh-brewed sweet tea, their tater tots, their slushies, the Sonic Burger…it’s just something I grew up with. People think I’m nuts, but Sonic makes me the happiest girl ever. Seriously, I know everything on the menu. It’s all the same, they’ve just added a few gourmet items over the years. I actually remember doing this TV show on Fox in Louisiana, and afterwards everyone asked me what I wanted for dinner. They kept telling me, ‘We have so many great restaurants here in Louisiana,’ but all I wanted was Sonic. They made so much fun of me!”

While Bridges may be a Sonic girl at heart, now that she’s living in Las Vegas, she’s discovering some more upscale dining spots in town.

“I love SW Steakhouse inside Wynn (pictured below); it’s unbelievable,” Bridges said. “They have the best filet mignon and side dishes in town, and for dessert they have this funnel cake that comes with homemade whipped cream, fresh strawberries and chocolate and caramel sauces to dip it in. I went there for dinner once before the show, which is crazy to eat all that food when you’re going to be wearing such a little outfit, and I got the funnel cake to go. It was amazing; so good!”

In fact, when asked in the spirit of “Fantasy” to describe her fantasy meal, Bridges didn’t even mention Sonic.

SW Steakhouse“Let’s see, my [fantasy] meal would have to be to go to SW for the filet mignon, have some mac ’n’ cheese and mashed potatoes, then go to Dairy Queen for a big ice cream cake to take home so that I could drizzle some hot fudge and whipped cream on it,” she replied. “Then, oh, I would order one of the funnel cakes at SW to go and dip the funnel cake in the ice cream cake.”

Although Bridges loves ice cream, unlike her pre-show funnel cake, the "Fantasy" star admitted she can’t eat any ice cream before a show as it “freezes” her vocal cords. Instead, Bridges can often be found drinking some hot tea before a performance to help loosen up her pipes. Other than that, though, not much else is off limits. Surprisingly, Bridges said that, despite her sweet tooth, she doesn’t even work out as much as she used to. However, she does credit “Fantasy’s” rehearsal schedule with keeping her in shape.

Since “Fantasy” is one of the sexiest shows in Las Vegas (the production recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in the Entertainment Capital of the World), it was only natural to ask Bridges what foods she found sexy.

“Chocolate-covered strawberries, for one,” Bridges replied. “I just love white-chocolate-covered strawberries. Also, a bottle of red wine; I love French reds. Let’s see, what other foods are sexy…oh, a fabulous martini, like a lychee martini with a cherry in it. Oh, and anything with whipped cream. Really, most wines and desserts I find sexy.”

While there’s no doubt that Bridges is the type of girl who loves her food (the former Playboy model actually just participated in the first annual Martorano’s Masters Meatball Eating Championship over at the Rio this past weekend, eating a total of 10 meatballs which totaled more than a pound of food), it may come as a surprise to hear that, just like anyone else, the sugar-sweet starlet has her pet peeves when dining out. Of course, she’s far too sweet to ever let the culprit know.

“I hate when the waiter interrupts you mid-conversation,” Bridges replied, “especially when they can tell that the conversation is intense. The worst is when you’re in the middle of a business meeting. I know they’re just trying to do their job and make sure everything is okay, so I don’t get mad, but in the back of my mind I can’t help but think, ‘Couldn’t you have come back five minutes later?’”

Angelica Bridges and dancers in FantasyLord knows Bridges should have no problem getting any guy to come back to check up on her. In fact, Bridges is giving her fans--both male and female--three new reasons to come back to check her out in “Fantasy” even if they’ve already seen her in the show before, as she’s currently rehearsing three new numbers for the production, one of which she wrote herself.

“The song is called ‘Do It to the Music,’” Bridges stated. “I actually shot a music video for it in L.A., so audiences will get to see that behind me as I perform the song live.”

Even though Bridges is best known for her roles on “Baywatch” and “Days of Our Lives,” the fiery redhead (who is currently the lead singer for the pop/dance group Strawberry Blonde) said that music was always her first passion in life.

“Back in school, I was cast in ‘Cinderella’ when I was in the third grade and then in the seventh grade I was in show choir, competing at the state level,” she stated. “Then when I did pageants (amongst her many other accomplishments, Bridges is also a former Miss Missouri Teen), I sang and did sign language. When I was at UCLA majoring in communications, I signed a contract to sing and tour with a band called the Brooke Sisters, and by 19 I was performing for 20,000 people a night in Beijing. It was funny; I remember everyone pulling on my hair, as they had never seen red hair before. I was a strange commodity (laughs).”

After the tour, which also took Bridges to Japan and Hong Kong, she was discovered singing at Universal Studios in Orlando by modeling giant John Casablancas. Commercials and print ads soon followed. Then, she auditioned for “Days of Our Lives” and the rest, as they say, was history.

While Bridges has currently put her various other projects on hold to star in “Fantasy,” it’s not a decision she regrets.

Fantasy cast with Angelica Bridges“I’m someone who always has to own what I’m doing,” Bridges explained. “’Fantasy’ is now a part of my life; I’m doing the show six nights a week (Bridges is off on Wednesdays), and every night I get more and more comfortable onstage. Things just keep getting better and better, and however they decide to structure the show, I’m ready to take on whatever they give me. Seriously, this is my dream job. I just love everyone I work with, and I really think this is one of the more relatable [topless revues] on the Strip. It’s just so diverse. We have everything from cheerleaders and police women to cowgirls and lace and leather; we’re not just girls stuck wearing fishnet stockings with no tops and bottoms on. We’re multifaceted. There are different characters and different girls in all shapes and sizes onstage; we’re not all 5-foot-9 with an A or B cup. There’s really something for everyone.”

And even though Bridges said she would “absolutely” extend her three-month contract, which takes her through the end of the year, if asked, when asked who she could see taking over her duties as “Fantasy’s” celebrity host when the time comes for her to leave the show, Bridges did have a reply--after much thoughtful consideration.

“You’d need someone with a good voice who can dance and host,” she said. “That’s hard, because there are so many actresses who I love and so many singers who I love, but it’s rare to find someone who can sing, dance and host. ‘Fantasy’ is all about those three elements; they are very important. Maybe someone like Brooke Hogan could do it; she’s blonde, beautiful and sexy.”

But don’t think Bridges would disappear from the Vegas scene that fast.

“If ‘Fantasy’ finds someone to step in for me, they better find me a position up in corporate with [Luxor president] Felix Rappaport,” Bridges concluded with a laugh.

And with a resume like Bridges’, there’s nowhere else for her to go but up.

“Fantasy” is performed nightly at 10:30 p.m. inside the Luxor’s Atrium Showroom. Tickets start at $45 and guests must be 18 years old or older to attend. For tickets, call 702-262-4400 or simply click here.
