Although over half the employers recently surveyed by Robert Half International and CareerBuilder expressed desires to hire full time employees within the next 12 months, and another 40% stated plans to hire additional contract and/or project personnel in the same time period. Much of that expectation was attributed, however, to expected stimulus money which was earmarked to create jobs. The top three areas of employment were in technology, customer service and sales.

The problem comes up in trying to fill the positions.
Many employers (47% of over 500 surveyed) increasingly find that many (44%) applicants are either "underqualified"; with another substantial number (22%) not willing or reluctant to leave secure positions.

A fresh look at Tennessee's Hot Jobs list thru 2016 shows career positions with salaries and outlooks with educational and work experience requirements. It would prove extremely beneficial for anyone wishing to pursue such careers to pay particular attention to these training/educational requirements and start NOW gearing their resumes to meet these needs!!
