It's official: The NBA’s Oklahoma City franchise, A.K.A. the team formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics, will be called the Thunder.

The name isn’t as fitting as the Barons, Weasels, Robbers, Thieves, Burglars, Lifters, Pilfers, Outlaws or Raiders, but Thunder is pretty close when you consider we heard this name rumbling off in the distance long before the announcement finally made landfall.

And in case you couldn’t wait to see what colors they’ll be wearing, they’ve decided to go with blue, red-orange and yellow colors.

Still no word on whether these guys will be the team cheerleaders, but I'm sure they'd look great in that color scheme.
