In a telephone survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports, 39% of voters now say the country's economic problems are the result of Obama's policies. So what you say? That is still just 39%? Yes, but it is a 12 point jump in just a month. That says a lot about what the country is thinking of the new policies.
Those that view the economic problems are still inherited has dropped from 62% in early June to 54% now. Even more interesting is that 60% now trust their own judgement of the economy than the president's view.
As for the economy as a whole, only 30% trust the president on economic issues.
Even more interesting is how the politicians themselves view things. You would think there would be a natural split along party lines, however the democrats are split fairly evenly amongst themsevles on whether they trust the president more.
It seems the president's quick rise to popularity is being matched with his sharp decline in popularity as well. And we are only 7 months into his term.
