
On November 5, 2009 a recall was issued due to a fall hazard on the Wooden Play Sets distributed by Adventure Playsets. The plastic coated lumber used for the horizontal ladder, or monkey bar/swinging beam may rot, causing the bars to weaken, and result in the child falling. At this time there has been more than 1,400 incident/injury reports, some involving emergency room visits and bone fractures. This recall involves approximately 275,000 playsets sold throughout the United States and about 6,800 playsets sold in Canada. The playsets were sold nationwide at: Walmart, Toys R Us, Academy Sports, Menards, Mill Stores and online at: Walmart.com, Toysrus.com, Willgoat.com, and through the DSMI catalog from January 2004 through December 2007. The recalled swing sets have the following model numbers printed on their instruction manuals:

Consumers should immediately stop using the swing sets and contact Adventure Playsets for a replacement kit or call (877)840-9068.
