Lord, I thank you for the victory you have given me.
May this verse, enrich, inspire and encourage you on November 3, 2009, my Friend.
1Jn 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
Have you ever met a person who was unhappy with living a life that exhibited love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control? When that person, experienced an event that caused unhappiness, did you think, “What did they do wrong?”
When you experienced unhappiness, did you ask yourself, “What did I do wrong?”
My friends, we cannot allow the bad times to blot out the good times in our life. There are few victories that did not follow defeats in our life.
Believers do not live charmed lives. We believe that when life takes a difficult turn for us, God has not abandoned us because of disbelief or sin. It is then we can feel his arms of merciful love surrounding us, enfolding us, encouraging us and restoring us. Like many of my friends, I have sat through many operations for a daughter. My loving Father in heaven has touched her, but he has not healed her.
Every time she opened her eyes after an operation, I saw a the crown of victory that God had placed upon her head.
I also felt an arm on my shoulder and a voice saying, Terry, another battle has been fought, and once again the enemy had fled from the field. As the tears flowed from my eyes: M
