The truly righteous are committed to living their lives so that those who are watching them say, “I want to live that way!”
Good Saturday evening and Sunday morning, Friend.
Pr 13:24 He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.

The flavor according to the Hebrew Lexicon of the word careful is an earnest seeking.

Friends, we are not instructed in our verse of the day to punish our children but to educate them.

I am going to drop in a conversation between my child and her friend, why don’t you come along?

Daughter: My dad said that I could not go to that place.

Friend: Why not?

Daughter: Because I can’t go.

Friend: Why can’t you go there?

Daughter: Because he said no.

Friend: Why did he say no?

Daughter: I don’t know.

My friends, too often what will happen is that an arbitrary decision that is not explained, will be disobeyed.

The do’s and don’ts of our faith must make sense, if we have any chance of seeing those who follow us, do as we did.

Until tomorrow,

PastorTerry
