Ps 103:12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Good Friday morning my friend!

Have you ever read something and then scratched your head in an attempt to try and figure out what was meant by what had been written? This verse is a good example of that practice. The Psalmist is saying that when we confess our sins to God, that he has forgiven those sins forever.

Unlike a lot of us, God will never bring up past transgressions, to remind us of how imperfect we are.
The example the Psalmist uses is, “As far as the east is from the west,” is easy to understand, if we will stop scratching our heads and use our mind.

If you started driving north, when you reached the North Pole, you would begin to drive south and when you have reached the South Pole, you will begin driving north.

But there are no east or west poles, we can drive to. If you start driving east, you will always drive east. East never becomes west and west will never become east. That is the meaning of the example that is used in this verse.

Have an enriching day and do your best to enrich someone’s life today.
