MCACC East Valley animal shelter is located in Mesa, AZ at 2630 W. 8th Street (8th Street & the 101) and serves the following Arizona cities: Phoenix (east of Central Ave), Cave Creek, Carefree, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Guadalupe, Tempe, Mesa, Salt River Pima/Maricopa Indian Communities, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek.
The MCACC West Valley pound is located in Phoenix, Arizona at 2500 S. 27th Avenue (27th Avenue and Lower Buckeye) and houses strays and other adoptable pets from the following AZ cities: Phoenix (west of Central Ave), Surprise, Peoria, Glendale, Goodyear, Avondale, Buckeye, Litchfield Park, El Mirage, Tolleson, Estrella, Gila Bend, Youngtown, Buckeye, Laveen.
MCACC - Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (602-506-PETS) – Summer Lost/Found and Adoption hours at both facilities are (Monday-Friday 11 am - 6 pm) and (Saturday & Sunday -
11 am - 5:30 pm)
Next week I will have new photos taken and posted. I take pictures every Wednesday or Thursday. Do not give up the search for your lost pet. Some people will hold onto an animal for days, weeks, or even months before turning it into the pound.
• Post Lost Dog ads on craigslist.org(Community-Lost & Found section and Pets), petfinder.com (Local - Free Pet Classifieds), and pets911.com(Lost and Found).
• Check the Found ads daily from the 3 sites above.
• Post LOST DOG signs with REWARD on bright paper within a 2-mile radius of where your dog was last seen and/or your home.
FYI - For stray dogs that are sick, injured or are under 3 months old, visit the Arizona Humane Society's Sunnyslope facility in Phoenix at 9226 N. 13th Avenue (at Hatcher.) 602-997-7585. In fact, contact them for any lost pet as animals sometimes end up there instead of the county facility.
Please spay & neuter, license, tag with a current phone number, and microchip your pets!
