The PEANUTS comic strip is about to celebrate its 60th Anniversary this October. A year long tribute includes, publisher Andrews McMeel's release of "Celebrating Peanuts: 60 Years," and a photo look-a-like contest that will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
Charles M. Schulz creator of PEANUTS and possibly the alter ego of the strips main character, Charlie Brown, may have enjoyed that parents now have an opportunity to associate their child with one of the many great characters he created and that families still enjoy reading.
Check out this Blog for the celebrity look-a-like promotion. I'm partial to Tina Fey - Marcie and Debi Mazar- Lucy.
In troubled times, it is nice to harken back to a "kinder and gentler time," by celebrating Charlie Brown's world.
