Washington State outstanding wide receiver, Brandon Gibson, has been selected to participate in the Under Armor Senior Bowl at the end of this month.

Rather than make himself eligible for the NFL draft at the end of the 2007-08 season, Gibson returned to complete his senior year at WSU and play for first year Coach Paul Wulff.  That move revealed much about the character of the young man.  He was keenly interested in being a part of a new era for Cougar football.

Though Gibson's draft stock may not have gone up much as a result of playing on a 2-10 football team, he certainly has earned a place of honor throughout Cougar Nation.  Injuries to key players on offense denied Gibson the chance to shine his senior year. At one point, Coach Wulff had Brandon taking a direct snap from center to assure he was going to touch the ball.

That said, Gibson still earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 Conference. Quite a feat considering how the Cougar offense struggled all season. He leaves Pullman as the WSU career leader in receiving yards with 2,756 and #2 in receptions, hauling in 182 passes.  Gibson's 17 career touchdowns ranks him #6 all-time for the Cougs.

Tune in to the NFL Network on January 24th at 4pm PST to watch the Under Armor Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.

Because of his ability to go up and haul in just about anything thrown remotely in his direction, Brandon Gibson is a sure thing to make it in the NFL.

Seriously.
