On February 20, MSC's Poesia will set sail on a seven-day country cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Eastern Caribbean. In addition to regular on board entertainment, passengers will be offered line dancing and country-themed dance lessons and entertainment that includes a live concert headlined by the Bellamy Brothers.

In terms of working out, the ship has a full fitness facility that offers two group exercise classes a day. There's also a separate gym complete with exercise machines and weights. Don't forget the two pools and the track for walkers and runners.

MSC, short for Mediterranean Shipping Company has been a part of the cruise industry in Europe for the last 20 years. "The country cruise ship is only two years old so everything is top notch from fresh linens to the decor," explained Travel Specialist Pam Harper Horst. "What's really great is that in addition to offering a spa menu, MSC works very closely with the Italian Celiac Association to provide gluten-free menus on its ships."

Yet another incentive for families, active or not, kids 17 and under sail free when sharing a cabin with two regular paying adults. "It's something that is offered on all MSC cruises," said Horst. "But it's a matter of availability so people have to book as soon as they know where they'd like to go."

Fares for the Poesia country cruise start as low as $624 per person, including tax. Not bad seven nights! Horst added that non-stop airfares to Ft. Lauderdale can be found for as little as $275 from the Bay Area.
