1) Legal issues for Braylon- The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that wide receiver Braylon Edwards is being charged with misdemeanor assault from his incident outside a Cleveland nightclub. The report states that Edwards could face up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted. The Jets in their official statement confirmed that they were aware of this issue prior to trading for Braylon.
2) Enough with 'Hot Dog Gate' - Does the media have nothing better to do than dwell on Mark Sanchez eating a hot dog on the sideline? The rookie quarterback was admittedly nervous prior to the game, therefore did not eat much, and discreetly ate a hot dog at the end of the game where the Jets were firmly in front. I am sure several other things occur on the sidelines that are far worse than this, leave the kid alone already.
3) Smith and Woodhead could key cat - In Rex Ryan's Monday press conference he explained the devastating impact of losing running back Leon Washington. When pressed on how he will make up for the loss it seemed that Brad Smith would take over the "wildcat" role and that Danny Woodhead could take over some of the return duties. Brad Smith is a former quarterback which could add a new dimension to the Jets version of the "wildcat", while Woodhead displayed some serious explosiveness in mop up duty against the Raiders.
