The September issue of People En Espanol will have a photo of the Episcopalian wedding of Padre Alberto Cutie and his new wife, Ruhamma Cannellis, along with a gushy feature article entitled, 'El Amor Lo Puede Todo' or, in English, 'Love Conquers All.'
Padre Alberto was the Catholic, television-celebrity, priest who got photographed in some non-celibate, un-priestly poses with his mistress, Cannellis, on a public beach in Miami last May.
In the People En Espanol cover photo, Padre Alberto is beaming like any happy groom while his divorced, ex-mistress is wearing a traditional white gown and a matching tiara.
If you, somehow, missed this huge scandal in the Miami Catholic Church, you can see a previous article about it here:

While I have no issue with these two marrying and living 'happily ever after,' I can't help but wonder when this guy is going to stop milking his deceitful betrayal of the Catholic Church and the parishioners to whom he represented himself as a faithful, honest priest. Doesn't this man have ANY shame? What's next, a reality television show?
Many of Padre Alberto's supporters have opined that there is nothing wrong with a priest having a normal, sexual relationship, and that this shows that priest should be able to marry. I agree, but what does that have to do with being a lying, hypocritical media whore?
It will come as no surprise to most of us that there are also published rumors that this marriage is a sham, and that Padre Alberto is trying to cover up the fact that he is gay. That wouldn't make his lies and betrayal any worse to most of us, but it might just ruin Padre Alberto's attraction as the sexy, bad-boy of the priesthood. You can see the wedding article here:

Just for fun, I have added a link here to an earlier interview on CNN, wherein Padre Alberto was asked to comment on the big flap over a Mexican edition of Playboy Magazine, which used a cover model that appeared to be representing the Virgin Mary. The CNN interview is dated December 15th, 2008 - long before Padre Alberto was caught on film with his mistress, but NOT before he had actually started the two year affair with her.
In response to a question about Playboy's use of the Virgin Mary-ish photo for its December cover, a pious Padre Alberto responds,
'Listen, there's no doubt that she's a beautiful woman. But a stained-glass window and the veil that looks like that, certainly there's a reference to Mary. Whoever tells you there isn't is simply being hypocritical or not very honest. And that's what I don't like about the statement from Playboy magazine.'
Hmmm - 'hypocritical' and 'not very honest?'
Later on in the interview, Padre Alberto makes the following comment,
'Now, in the cover of a magazine of a porn business that is already a huge success, why would you need to use religious symbols to sell more magazines? This sounds desperate to me. And not only desperate, it's totally offensive to a billion Catholics in the world and to non-Catholics who honor Mary as the mother of Jesus.'
Hmmmm - Using religious symbols to sell more magazines, desperate and offensive?
