And you thought the return of the Rosencopter to Reliant Stadium was going to be fun.
Psssh. Please. You ain't seen nothing yet.
Wait until all those confused Packers fans living in Houston show up at the game wearing cheeseheads and Packers jerseys cheering for their division rival's QB.
Or wait until all those confused Vikings fans living in Houston show up at the game wearing the jersey of a guy they hated for 16 years, cheering him as if he was OJ making a run for the border.
To hell with the game, I'm going to bring my popcorn watch the sideshow in the stands.
This game already had a little bit of buildup, as much as a preseason game could, since it's a Monday Night Football game which brings it's own hype, plus Week 3 of the preseason is usually the game where starters play into the second half and is considered the primary audition for the regular season.
The game also had buildup because it's Palestine native Adrian Peterson's first visit to Reliant Stadium as well as Jared Allen's first visit to Reliant since his two hits on Matt Schaub last October that resulted in a $50,000 fine and an NFL rule change.
I was at the Minnesota game last fall when Schaub got hurt and in the spirit of a small level of payback I'd like to see the Texans shut down the Vikes and RosenFavre on MNF even if it's a relatively meaningless game. Just keep Schaub upright, okay?
But again, for those who were looking forward to seeing Sage lead his new team into Reliant, you ain't seen nothing yet. This should be a circus.
