Chester Pitts and Ephraim Salaam may have different addresses and will be wearing different uniforms this season, but they are inseparable when it comes to hamming it up in front of the camera.
As most of you will remember, Chester and Ephraim became instant celebrities after starring in a Super Bowl commercial after the 2007 season.
The guys have parlayed those few minutes of fame into guest spots on various television shows including several appearances on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where it seems that E&C Team have become regular guests both in-studio and on remotes.
[Full disclosure: I've never watched the Ellen show but my wife and daughter tell me it's funny.]
Anyway, they're at it again.
This time, the pals from Ralph's Grocery Store took a shot at the obstacle course on the set of ABC's show Wipeout. And this time, Ephraim won. Maybe that's a good sign for the Lions.
The video is hilarious and frankly I'm surprised Chester hasn't joined Travis Johnson on the "Questionable: pelvic injury" list after what he went through at about the 2:45 mark. I wonder if Chester will get a new provision in his contract that prevents him from riding mechanical donuts.
I've seen bits and pieces of Wipeout. Looks like fun but it's not something I'll be trying any time soon. Even though the contestants are all padded up, a few of them take some pretty hard body shots as they bounce off the various obstacles.
And yes, that's Jill Wagner from the Mercury commercials in the video (daughter of Lindsay Wagner, the 'Bionic Woman' from the lame late 70's TV show).
Yeah, I had to dig pretty deep for this one. But hey, it's the off-season.
