Kris Brown's leg kept the Texans in the game    (NFLPA)

Third quarter notes from the Bills - Texans:

  • I caught some comments by Gary Kubiak on the radio broadcast coming out of the locker room and he said "we played about as bad as we can play."  Texans fans agree.
  • I also saw that the 49ers are beating the Colts at halftime.  Time for the Texans to look at the scoreboard.
  • Nice stand by the Texans defense on Buffalo's opening drive and an even better play by Jacoby Jones not fielding Brian Moorman's punt deep in his own territory.
  • Nice 36 yard pass from Schaub to Jacoby Jones sets up another Kris Brown FG.  The red zone is not too friendly to the Texans today.  A TD would be nice - a lead would be better.  I don't see the Bills playing well from behind if the Texans could ever get on the right side of the scoreboard.  10-9 Bills.
  • Good to see DBs bouncing off Andre Johnson again.  Welcome to the NFL Jairus Byrd.  It's not all about picking off passes.
  • Moats running hard between the tackles.  11 carries for 62 yards as the 3rd quarter closes with the Texans driving again to the Bills red zone.
  • Texans defense played great, holding the Bills to two 3-and-outs in the quarter.
