Last week, Goodman Games held nominations for "America's Favorite Game Store" - a voting contest where the winning gamestore will recieve free product and some nice recognition. A Chicagoland game store, Games Plus out of Mt. Prospect, is one of the 53 nominated finalists in the contest.

"It was an interesting idea for Goodman Games to set this up." said Curt Thalman of Games Plus. "It's nice to see someone highlighting the local game stores."

Goodman Games has promised $1000 worth of free product for the winning store, if at least 200 gamers do vote in the contest. Curt said that Games Plus felt very good to have been nominated and that he would explore ways of celebrating and sharing the prizes with customers, if they win.

"I'm just happy to see something like this happen to help out the brick and mortar stores." he said.

Voting has now started and will continue to midnight, July 15th. You may vote by going here. If you've been to Games Plus, please take a few minutes to vote for them and help out a great Chicagoland game store.
