The garden is a beautiful 5000 acre public park located right in the heart of Golden Gate Park.  Originally built as a Japanese village over 100 years ago, the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco is now the world’s largest public Japanese garden in the entire United States.  You can relax amongst dozens of curved paths, blooming irises, knotted bridges, tea houses, and lucid ponds.  A highlight in the garden is the 'Drum Bridge', a semi-circular bridge that forms a perfect circle with it’s reflection in the pond below.
