I began as an "examiner" when the site first began last year. I was interested in the direction that they wanted to go in with regards to religious news and wrote my posts in that line of thought.

With the growth of the site and the encouragement to self-promote through other sites such as Digg and Reddit, I began to take another look at the overall site. Promotion through social networking can be a good online tool but there is a difference between submitting actual news and that of spamming local sites with your own articles. Both of which, I refused to take part in.

Also, I found that many people here, not all but many use the site as an extension for personal blogging. This was another aspect that turned me off of writing for the site.

So, you may wonder if I am no longer a part of the examiner group then why am I writing here?

Well, I resigned from the group last year. You can see from my previous post that the last time I wrote for examiner was six months ago. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from the site but have yet to get a response. In fact a few days ago I just received an editorial calender from this channel's manager.

In writing this post, my goal is two-fold. Out of sheer curiosity, I just want to see how long they will leave this post up and if that time will equal out the past six months in which I have tried to get a response. Secondly, I wanted to use examiner as a form of self-promotion spam as they have used other sites. Check out the link below.
